Obverse description A leopard-lion passant to the right occupies the central field, rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner. A rosette is positioned above the figure and a second rosette appears before its chest. The design is enclosed by a ring of rosettes arranged between an inner line circle and an outer beaded circle, forming a decorative border typical of Friesach-type pfennige.

Reverse description Two frontal busts are depicted rising above a double-arched wall, each figure surmounted by a ring or nimbus above the head, evoking an ecclesiastical or regal character. Between the two busts rises a stylized three-leaved palm tree, a motif characteristic of Friesach pfennig coinage. The entire composition is enclosed within a double beaded circle forming the border of the coin.
