| Reverse description | The reverse, as is characteristic of thin hammered Pfennige of this period and region, presents the incuse mirror image of the obverse design impressed into the planchet during striking. The negative relief shows the same architectural framework with central figural bust, lateral wing-like elements, and upper cross or tower motif, all rendered as a hollow impression. The flan edges are irregular and show natural flow lines consistent with hand-cut silver planchets of the Friesach mint. Surface shows patination and minor areas of green oxidation typical of silver coinage recovered or preserved over several centuries. |
