| Beschrijving keerzijde | Bust of an angel depicted frontally with large upright wings flanking the head, and a prominent cross rising above the crown of the head, a motif common to Carniolan bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage of the period. The bust is rendered in a schematic, hieratic style. A Latin legend encircles the design, set between two beaded concentric circles forming a decorative border. |

Henry IV of Istria-Carniola issued these bracteate-style pfennigs during a period when the march was caught between competing Babenberg and Andechs dynastic pressures. The Gutenwerth mint — situated on an island in the Wörthersee — was one of the few active minting sites in the region during this window, giving these pieces an unusually localized production footprint rare even among provincial Austrian coinage of the 13th century.
