| Obverse description | Facing bust of a bishop in high relief, clad in ecclesiastical vestments with a prominent mitre above the head. The facial features are rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner, with deeply set eyes and a straight nose. A four-petalled rosette or quatrefoil ornament flanks the bust on each side in the field. The overall design is contained within a plain inner circle on the broad, irregularly shaped flan characteristic of medieval bracteate-style pfennigs. |

| Reverse description | Incuse mirror image of the obverse type, typical of the thin hammered bracteate-style pfennig coinage of the Bishopric of Basel. The facing episcopal bust wearing a mitre is visible in relief on the reverse as a pressed-through impression, with the flanking quatrefoil ornaments faintly discernible on either side. The flan edges show the characteristic four pinched indentations of the Basel pfennig series. The surface retains original silver metal with natural gray toning. |
