Obverse description Standing frontal figure of a ruler or margrave in long robes, holding a lance or sceptre in the right hand and what appears to be a palm branch or lily in the left hand; the figure is rendered in a flat, stylized manner characteristic of early 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced coinage. The design occupies the full field of the irregularly shaped flan. Partial Latin legend visible around the periphery, partially off-flan due to the irregular strike.
