Obverse description Frontal enthroned figure of the patriarch in full ecclesiastical vestments, holding a crozier or staff in the right hand and an additional attribute in the left, depicted in a hieratic, Romanesque style. The figure is presented within a beaded or corded inner border, with a partial Latin legend distributed around the periphery of the field. The rendering is characteristic of early 13th-century episcopal coinage of the Friulian region, with flat relief and stylized drapery folds typical of hammered bracteate-influenced pfennig production.
