| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped and crowned bust of Antoine I, Prince of Monaco, facing right, wearing a laurel crown and long curled wig characteristic of the early eighteenth-century French Baroque style. The effigy is rendered in moderate relief with fine drapery detail at the truncation. The circular Latin legend reads ANT. I D.G. PRIN. MONOECI., identifying the ruler as Antoine I by the Grace of God Prince of Monaco. The inner border is formed by a ring of beads, and the coin exhibits the slightly irregular flan typical of billon coinage of this period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central device consisting of the crowned arms of Monaco — a shield lozengy (fusilly) bendy of diamond shapes — surmounted by a princely crown with visible fleurons and arches, rendered in bold relief. The shield is cartouche-shaped with a waisted outline. The circular Latin legend AVXI. MEVM . A . DOM. 1720. encircles the design, reading 'My help comes from the Lord, 1720,' a pious motto referencing Psalm 121. Separating elements of the legend are decorative stops; the date 1720 appears in the lower portion of the legend. A beaded inner border frames the entire design. |
