| Descrizione del rovescio |
Asklepios, the god of medicine, depicted standing in three-quarter view facing left, clad in a himation draped over the lower body and left shoulder. He holds a phiale in his outstretched right hand and rests his left arm upon his attribute, the kerykeion-like staff entwined by a serpent. The composition reflects the dignified, classical rendering of the deity typical of Sicilian Hellenistic civic bronzes, with the ethnic legend of Menainon distributed in the field. |
