This piece belongs to a category of provincial bronzes issued jointly in the names of Caracalla and Julia Domna — a pairing that reflects the careful dynastic messaging of the Severan court rather than any co-regency in the constitutional sense. The magistrate Quintillianus is attested across several Marcianopolitan issues, allowing approximate sequencing within the reign.
