| Beschrijving keerzijde | A bold plain cross pattee divides the reverse field into four equal quadrants, each containing a small decorative motif or pellet grouping in the angles, consistent with the Holland-style denier type. The cross extends to the inner beaded circle, which separates the central design from the circumferential legend. The inscription IN nOMInE DNI, rendered in uncial Latin characters, runs around the periphery, invoking divine authority in a formula common to ecclesiastical and comital coinage of the period. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, reflecting the hand-hammered production technique. |
