| 背面描述 | A bold cross pattee occupies the centre of the reverse, with a small central annulet at the intersection of the arms. Each of the four angles formed by the cross contains a fleur-de-lis or lis ornament, lending the design a decorative quality characteristic of mid-twelfth-century English pennies. The whole is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the moneyer's legend arranged around the periphery. The strike is typical of provincial Midlands production during the civil war period. |
