The lettering is set within the outer border in the typical insular epigraphic style of the period. |

| Description du revers | A cross moline is prominently displayed at the center of the coin, enclosed within a beaded or plain inner circle, a standard design convention of Anglo-Saxon penny coinage. The central motif exhibits the characteristic flared and curved terminals of the cross moline type. Surrounding the inner circle, the moneyer's name legend + EDELmOD mOИ-TΛ is distributed around the field, identifying the issuing moneyer. The overall composition is well-centered for a hammered issue and consistent with Rochester mint production of the period. |
