| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field depicts the heraldic shield of Bishop Benoît de Montferrand, bearing the arms of Montferrand, surmounted by a half-length figure of the Madonna holding the Christ Child, rendered in a Gothic devotional style. The Virgin appears enthroned or elevated above the escutcheon, with both figures shown in frontal presentation. A circular legend in uncial characters surrounds the composition, separated from the central device by a beaded inner border. | Beschrijving keerzijde | A plain cross is centered within a quadrilobe or quatre-foil inner frame, dividing the field into four quarters each containing one digit of the date 1-4-7-7, placed in the angles of the cross. The quadrilobe is enclosed by a beaded inner border, beyond which a circular legend in uncial characters runs along the periphery, identifying the issuing bishop and diocese. The reverse design follows the standard late medieval ecclesiastical type, with the cross as the dominant devotional symbol and the date prominently displayed in the four quadrants. |
