Obverse description Hammered silver flan of irregular round shape displaying a prominent Ottoman tughra device centrally positioned in the field. The tughra, the stylized calligraphic monogram of Sultan Mustafa I, dominates the design with its characteristic upswept loops and horizontal projections rendered in bold relief. A circular Arabic legend surrounds the central device along the periphery, identifying the sultan by name and patronymic. The overall strike is characteristic of early seventeenth-century Ottoman hammered coinage, with some weakness at the margins due to the irregular flan. The field shows natural die wear and patination consistent with circulation.
