| Reverse description | A cow recumbent to the right, rendered in high relief with careful attention to musculature and form, its head turned back slightly and horns clearly delineated. The animal rests on a ground line below which the magistrate's name appears in Greek letters. The ethnic inscription EΡΕΤΡΙ is placed to the left of the animal in the upper field, while the magistrate's name ΔΑΜΑΣΙ appears in the exergue below the ground line. The composition is characteristic of the later Eretrian coinage series attributed to the magistrate Damasi. |
