| Obverse description | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip I (Philippus Arabs) facing right, rendered in the provincial Syrian style with pronounced facial features. The emperor's effigy is depicted with short-cropped hair beneath the laurel wreath, clad in paludamentum and cuirass with visible pteruges at the shoulder. The circular Greek legend runs around the periphery of the field. The portrait reflects the characteristic bold, somewhat coarse workmanship of the Antiochene mint during the mid-third century. |

| Reverse description | Turreted, veiled, and draped bust of Tyche, the city goddess of Antioch, facing left, personifying the fortune and prosperity of the metropolis. Above the bust, a ram leaps left with its head turned back to the right, representing the zodiacal sign of Aries, the celestial protector of Syria. The reverse legend identifies Antioch as a metropolis and Roman colony, with value marks Delta-Epsilon (indicating the octassarion denomination) and S-C (Senatus Consulto) distributed in the fields. The composition follows the well-established civic coinage iconography of Antioch on the Orontes. |
