| 背面描述 | A pair of scales (balance), symbolising justice, depicted in the central field with the legend IVSTVM (Righteous) distributed in the angles between the arms of the design. The crude, hammered workmanship reflects the primitive monetary production of the County of Girona during the early medieval period, with the scales motif serving as a distinctive iconographic element unique to this obol type. The flan is irregular and shows characteristic hammer-struck surface texture. |

The County of Girona operated as a nominally Frankish tributary March through much of this period, but by the late tenth century the counts were issuing coinage on their own authority with little reference to Carolingian precedent. The "scales" type — the obol being the half-denarius — served petty commercial exchange in a region where Pyrenean trade routes connected Iberian markets to southern Francia. Cru#71 is among the lightest silver issues attributed to the county.
