Obolo scales

Beschrijving voorzijde	Central cross pattée occupying the field, with the legend GIRVNDA (Gerona) disposed around it within two concentric beaded circles. The hammered flan is irregular and slightly buckled, typical of early medieval Iberian coinage. The lettering is crude but legible, rendered in a primitive Carolingian minuscule style consistent with the 10th–11th century County of Girona issues.

Beschrijving keerzijde	A pair of scales (balance), symbolising justice, depicted in the central field with the legend IVSTVM (Righteous) distributed in the angles between the arms of the design. The crude, hammered workmanship reflects the primitive monetary production of the County of Girona during the early medieval period, with the scales motif serving as a distinctive iconographic element unique to this obol type. The flan is irregular and shows characteristic hammer-struck surface texture.
