Lycian alphabetic characters forming the dynastic name Zämur (identifying the issuing dynast or mint city of Limyra) are disposed around the device in the field. The design is set within a plain circular border, and the overall workmanship reflects the refined yet compact artistry of fourth-century BC Lycian silver. |
