Obverse description Central plain cross with expanded terminals set within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding field bears a circular Latin legend reading ✠ CONRADVS, referencing Conrad I, King of Arles. The lettering is rendered in large, bold Carolingian characters typical of 10th-century Frankish feudal coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with hammered production of the period.
