| Descrizione del dritto | Stylized facing or three-quarter bust in the so-called bléso-chartaine tradition, rendered in low relief with flanking pellets on either side. A fleur-de-lis is placed below the effigy, serving as a heraldic device identifying the issuing authority. The design is highly schematic and characteristic of provincial feudal coinage of the late Capetian period. The flan is irregular, with weak strike evident at the margins. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A plain cross with expanded arms occupies the center of the reverse, set within an inner circle. The surrounding legend, beginning with a cross pattée, reads: K COM CART CIVIS, identifying Charles as count of the city of Chartres. The lettering is rendered in Gothic characters typical of thirteenth- and fourteenth-century French feudal issues, distributed around the periphery of the flan. The strike is irregular and partially off-flan, consistent with hammered billon coinage of this denomination and period. |
