Obverse description Central field divided into four quarters by a plain cross, each quarter containing a letter of the ruler's name A-M-E-D, arranged one per canton. The letters are rendered in a bold Gothic style characteristic of medieval Savoyard coinage. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, itself surrounded by a plain outer border following the irregular flan edge. The hammered flan exhibits typical surface irregularities consistent with thirteenth- to fourteenth-century billon coinage of the region.

Reverse description Central device depicting the Eagle of Savoy displayed within a beaded inner circle, its spread wings and body rendered in a schematic medieval style. The heraldic eagle, emblem of the Counts of Savoy, occupies the full central field. Surrounding the inner circle, a circular Latin legend reading COMES SAB with word dividers, identifying the issuer as Count of Savoy. The outer border follows the crenellated edge of the irregular hammered flan, and the overall style is consistent with Savoyard billon issues of the late thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries.
