Obverse description Helmeted head of Athena facing right, wearing a Corinthian helmet with raised cheekpieces and a prominent crest, rendered in the archaic Greek style characteristic of Campanian coinage. The facial features are modelled with restrained relief, the neck truncation clean and unadorned. The field is plain, and the entire design is enclosed within a border of beads running along the irregular flan edge.
