Obverse description A scallop shell depicted in high relief, viewed from above, with clearly rendered radiating ribs extending from a pronounced umbo at the apex to the broad, rounded base. The shell fills the central field of the flan, which is otherwise plain and unlettered. The design is characteristic of the archaic Korkyraean series and reflects the maritime identity of the issuing city.

Reverse description Four raised globular pellets arranged symmetrically in two rows of two within a plain incuse linear circle, all set within a shallow incuse square punch. The pellets are boldly rendered and serve as the sole design elements on an otherwise unadorned field. This minimalist reverse type is characteristic of early archaic coinage from Korkyra.
