Obverse description Head of Aphrodite facing right, rendered in archaic Greek style with finely detailed hair swept back and secured, characteristic of the Cilician mint tradition of the early fourth century BC. The portrait is executed in low relief typical of small hammered silver fractions, with naturalistic facial features including a prominent eye and defined chin. The coin surface shows the irregular flan characteristic of hand-struck issues from this period.
