Reverse description The emperor stands facing left in full military attire, helmeted and holding a standard (labarum) surmounted by a Chi-Rho christogram in his right hand, while his left hand grasps a Victory on globe or a shield. At his feet, a captive barbarian kneels or crouches to the right, symbolising Roman military supremacy. The reverse legend GLORIA ROMANORVM encircles the scene. In the exergue, the mint mark CONΔ identifies the fourth officina of the Constantinople mint.
