A small wreath-crown or christogram device appears above the legend at the apex of the wreath. The exergue contains the Thessalonica mintmark, partially legible on this irregular flan. This reverse type commemorates Theodosius I's decennial vows and anticipates his vicennial anniversary, a standard formulaic issue of the period. |
