The portrait is rendered with a bold, almost schematic plasticity typical of late Roman provincial die-cutting. The circular Latin legend runs clockwise around the periphery of the flan, enclosed within a beaded border. |

The reverse legend GENIO POPVLI ROMANI arcs across the upper field, with the officina letter appearing in the right field and the mint mark •SM•SD• inscribed in the exergue. |
