| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Maxentius facing right, rendered in three-quarter perspective from the front. The portrait presents the emperor in full imperial regalia, with the laurel wreath encircling his head, the paludamentum draped over the cuirass, and the legend encircling the effigy in the field. The bust exhibits the late Tetrarchic style characteristic of the Ticinum mint workshops, with strong, blocky facial features typical of the period. |

| Reverse description | A hexastyle temple with a triangular pediment adorned with acroteria, possibly representing Victory figures, set within a carefully detailed architectural frame. Enthroned within the temple cella is Roma, helmeted and draped, seated facing left upon a shield, her head turned to sinister; she holds a globe in her right hand and a spear (hasta) in her left. The reverse legend CONSERV VRB SVAE — meaning 'Preserver of His City' — appears in the field around the temple, referencing Maxentius's celebrated promotion of Rome as his imperial capital. The mintmark appears in the exergue, identifying the officina of the Ticinum mint. |
