The fallen horseman turns his head upward toward the soldier and extends his left arm in a gesture of submission or supplication. The reverse type belongs to the well-known FEL TEMP REPARATIO series of Constantius II, variant depicting the soldier spearing a fallen horseman. The mint mark and officina letter appear in the exergue. |
