The encircling legend PROVIDEN - TIAE CAESS proclaims the Providence of the Caesars, a propagandistic assertion of dynastic legitimacy. The exergue carries the mint mark ΔSIS∈ (or ΔSISŬ), denoting the fourth officina of the Siscia mint. |
