The encircling Latin legend reads D N CONSTANTIVS IVN NOB C, identifying the prince as Dominus Noster Constantius Iunior Nobilissimus Caesar. The portrait exhibits the flat, stylized treatment characteristic of mid-fourth-century Roman provincial die-cutting. |
