The effigy presents a youthful portrait characteristic of his Caesar coinage, with military attire including visible pauldron detailing. The circumferential Latin legend reads CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, distributed around the bust within a plain border. The overall style reflects the standardized workshop production of the Cyzicus mint during the Constantinian period. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A Romano-military camp gate (porta praetoria) depicted in three-quarter perspective, rendered with two flanking towers, a central arched gateway, and detailed ashlar masonry coursing across the façade. Atop each tower stands a figure, and a star appears in the upper field between the towers, serving as a celestial symbol of imperial divine favour. The circumferential legend PROVIDENTIAE CAESS encircles the central type, while the exergue bears the mint mark SMKX (Sacra Moneta Cyzici, officina variant), identifying the Cyzicus mint. The camp gate type was a hallmark reverse design of Constantinian-era nummi, symbolising the providential protection of the imperial frontier. |
