| 裏面の説明 | Sol Invictus, the Unconquered Sun, stands facing left in the field, rendered as a radiate nude or semi-draped figure. He raises his right hand in a saluting gesture and holds a globe in his left hand, symbolising dominion over the world. The field to the left of the figure bears the officina mark P. The circumferential legend SOLI INVICTO COMITI proclaims Sol as the companion of the emperor, a key religious motif of the Constantinian era. The mint mark in the exergue identifies the Arelate (modern Arles) workshop, with a crescent bearing an asterisk as an additional control mark per RIC VII 169. |
