The VICTORIAE DD AVGG Q NN ("Victories of our two Augusti") type belongs to a brief but deliberate propaganda push by Constans and Constantius II in the years immediately before the massive Fel Temp Reparatio flood coinage of 348 — the celebration of Rome's eleven-hundredth anniversary. Trier's mint was one of the western workhorses of this period, supplying bronze to Gaul, Britain, and the Rhine frontier simultaneously.
