The effigy displays a combined laurel wreath and jewelled diadem, a distinctive feature of the Constantinian dynastic coinage of the mid-fourth century. The obverse legend encircles the bust within a beaded border. The reverse legend VICTORIAE DD AVGG Q NN encircles the design within a beaded border, proclaiming the victories of the emperors. The exergue below carries the officina letter and mintmark, identifying the issuing workshop at the Arelate mint.
