The incuse field is rough and uneven, exhibiting the characteristic granular texture resulting from the direct application of a pointed or square punch tool. No secondary design, subsidiary punches, or inscriptions are present. This featureless reverse type is typical of primitive Greek electrum fractions attributed to uncertain Ionian or Lydian mints of the archaic period. |
