The Mozarthaus on the Getreidegasse in Salzburg — where Mozart was born in 1756 and lived until 1773 — has appeared on Austrian commemorative issues before, but this 2025 paper piece reflects a continued appetite for tourism-adjacent souvenir currency rather than any monetary necessity.
