| Obverse description | A classical architectural stele or tablet in relief occupies the centre of the field, bearing a multi-line inscription listing the names and birth years of twelve citizens of Le Locle along with a dedicatory text dated 1808. A laurel branch flanks the left side and an acanthus or palm branch flanks the right, crossing at the base of the monument. A circular legend in French runs along the upper rim. |
