Obverse description It depicts the Barra de Aveiro Lighthouse, the tallest in Portugal (62 metres) and one of the tallest in Europe. The cylindrical tower stands out with its characteristic helical band and is flanked by the support building. In the background, details of the sea and coastal vegetation can be seen.
