Mausolée Gur Emir

Beschrijving voorzijde	View in relief of the Gur Emir mausoleum in Samarkand, with its ribbed dome, flanking minarets and iwan portal, set against a starred field with a crescent moon. The legend 'SAMARKAND' arcs along the upper border, with 'MAUSOLEUM "GUR-EMIR"' inscribed along the lower portion. The whole is framed by a rope-style beaded border.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Facing bust of Amir Temur (Tamerlane) in high relief, depicted as a bearded ruler wearing an ornate crowned helmet. The legend 'AMIR TEMUR' arcs along the upper border, and the dates '1336-1405' appear in the lower exergue. Decorative foliate scrollwork frames the portrait on either side.
