The inscription names the mint city of Konya and includes the pious formula invoking the perpetuity of the sultan's reign, rendered in the angular Ottoman script style typical of mid-fifteenth century copper issues. Die alignment and strike are slightly off-centre, consistent with hand-struck production at a provincial Anatolian mint. |
