Obverse description Crudely struck irregular flan displaying the sultan's name and titles in Arabic script arranged in linear fashion across the field. The legend reads 'Sultan Bayezid bin Mehmed Khan' in several lines, typical of the tughra-less mangir coinage of the early Ottoman period. The script is deeply incuse with characteristic hammered technique, producing an uneven surface with moderate relief. Flan edges are irregular and show the characteristic fabric of Ottoman copper coinage of the late 15th century.

The inscription is struck in relief on a rough copper flan, with characteristic uneven die application typical of hammered Ottoman mangir coinage.
