| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a raised circular border, a centrally placed star-shaped rosette or multi-petalled flower rendered in low relief. The design is characteristic of the simplified decorative motifs employed on small copper Ottoman manghir issues of the late 15th and early 16th centuries. The flan is irregular, with a rough, granular surface typical of hammered copper coinage of this period. Patina is dark green with areas of cuprite, consistent with extended burial or circulation. |
