Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Arcadius facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The pearl diadem is clearly visible, and the paludamentum is fastened at the shoulder. The circumferential Latin legend reads DN ARCADIVS PF AVG, disposed around the bust from the lower left to the upper right of the flan. The coin's flan is irregular and somewhat worn, with a patina of dark green encrustation typical of bronze issues from this era.
