| Obverse description | Central vignette presents an oval medallion portrait of George Gordon Byron, 6th Baron Byron, rendered after the celebrated oil on canvas by Thomas Phillips in which the poet is dressed in traditional Albanian attire. The portrait is executed in intaglio and positioned at the centre of the note face. The surrounding field carries specimen overprints and serial zeros consistent with a Super Cope Specimen test note. |
