| Obverse description | A hare depicted in full sprint, leaping to the right with all four limbs fully extended in dynamic motion. The animal is rendered in high relief against a plain, deeply recessed field, with elongated ears laid flat along the back. The style is characteristic of early South Italian Greek coinage, displaying vigorous naturalistic treatment typical of the Anaxilas period at Rhegion. No inscription or border ornament is present on this side. |
