| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bearded head of Kronos facing right, depicted with flowing locks of hair and a full beard rendered in fine archaic style. The portrait is boldly struck and occupies most of the obverse field. A partial Greek legend appears to the right of the bust, reading ΚΡΟΝΟΣ, identifying the deity. The style is characteristic of Sikeliot coinage of the mid-4th century BC. |
