Beschrijving voorzijde	A hunting hound rendered in fine archaic Greek style, depicted in full gallop to the right with all four legs extended in a flying leap, tail raised. The animal's musculature is rendered with considerable skill given the diminutive flan size. A dotted border runs along the upper periphery of the coin, framing the design within the irregular flan.

Beschrijving keerzijde	Facing bust of the eponymous nymph Segesta in right profile, her hair swept up into a krobylos and secured by a pearl diadem, rendered in the elegant archaic style characteristic of early Sicilian coinage. The portrait is contained within a shallow circular incuse square, a technique typical of early western Greek silver coinage. The retrograde Greek ethnic legend ΣΕΓΕΣΤΑΖΙΒ is inscribed around the periphery of the incuse field.
