| 裏面の説明 | Octopus rendered frontally in bold relief, its bulbous mantle at centre top and eight tentacles radiating and curling outward in graceful spirals to fill the flan. The tentacles are depicted with naturalistic suckers and sinuous curves, conveying vigorous movement. The design occupies the full field without inscription, consistent with early Syracusan silver coinage of the Deinomenid and early democratic periods. No border visible on this die. |
